A concept for a virtual space in the form of a 3D sound sequencer. There are 8 tracks, (8 tube structures), each track is dived into 4 measures (curves in the tubing), and each measure is dived into 8 switches or parts respresenting the subdivided beat (black bands on tubing). The concept is based off of a liquid mixing station, the liquid being the analogy for sound. As the sound travels from the source (light blue particles at base of tubes), and travels through the tubing it will trigger sounds based on which of the 8 switches are activated in each measure and track. The central 4 colors area is the mixing area where you can control the tempo, volume, start/stop and reset parameters. The sound source section will have an interactive component that lets you cycle through banks and patches of sounds to use (one sound per track). This concept is part of an advanced media design class at UTD and is still currently under development.
